Game keeps crashing - please help

Hi all, 

Could really use someone's help with my game continuously crashing.
Since early July I've been having a lot of troubles with my game like I've never experienced before. My game is continually crashing, sometimes within a minute or two from startup, sometimes 10-15 minutes after. At first I thought it was just limited to one household and I might have bad cc or mods being used for them but now it's happened with multiple households.
I've also had issues with other errors such as:

  • sims not following certain directions such as eating or making tea and being unable to drink so placing it on the floor

  • sims freezing and being unable to do anything further but then not being able to save or go to manage worlds

I've tried cleaning out my mods and redownloading everything to be up-to-date. I've tried removing gameplay mods that I think could cause the issues more. Still having the issue. Also, I use a mac if that makes any difference. I've tried repairing the game and updating my macbook. 
Any tips? Could really use them. I've been tempted to just start a whole new save file and see how I go

    I launched a new game and it all went well, no issues. So then I restored my last save gave and it went good. Then I added one part of my mods- all still good. Then slowly, bit by bit, I added all of my mods back in. Seemed like everything was back to perfect then my game crashed after maybe half an hour to an hour of playing. 

    It's a bit hard to figure out what the issue is now since I could be playing for who knows how long before it crashes. Any further advice you have for this particular issue?

    @Ninnypop00

    I can’t help with Mod issues as I mainly play a vanilla game which is what this is as a clean game is fine. You’ll need to weed out which Mod(s) are causing it. Moving your thread to the Game & Mods forum for better help 🙂

    No problem, thanks for you help anyways!

    Just curious is there something that would indicate that this is the mods rather than the game or save file, since it's hard to tell when the game keeps crashing at different times. I know some people mention issues with crashing and such after the updates

    Because you stated that a new game worked, then you restored your save game and it still worked, then you started adding in your Mods and that's when it started breaking again.

    You could start with a clean Sims 4 folder again but this time not adding back in any Mods, play for several hours and see what happens.
