Game Not Opening

I’m not sure if anyone else is having this issue but ever since the recent update, my game hasn’t been opening with my mods. No error pop up or anything. It’ll only open when I remove a specific folder of mods (this folder has over 100 furniture mods in it). I uninstalled and reinstalled it, I’ve factory reset it, I’ve repaired it, I’ve cleared my cache multiple times, I’ve made sure all my mods are updated and I’ve done the 50/50 method. I can’t seem to pinpoint which mod is corrupt. When doing the 50/50 method within that specific folder I keep running into the same problem. When I’m halfway through my mods(removing a few in the process) the game stops launching, even when it was launching previously with those same mods. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

  • ElliotPalacios A couple of things to note. If you're removing mods, you need to be also deleting the localthumbcache file each time. I also recommend trying to make a manually-created new folder for the files, and redownloading fresh copies.

  • luthienrising Thankfully I have been deleting the localthumbcache each time. The first few times, I wasn't, so when I retried the 50/50 method again, I made sure to do so, but still nothing. I'm pretty new to this, so when you mean redownload fresh copies, should I just delete all my mods and start over? Right now, I have my mods organized by the names of the creators, and those files are organized within other folders by mod type. Should I do it a different way? Could that be the problem?

ElliotPalacios it's not different folder names or organization that you need - it's just to replace the folder (which might have been partly corrupted so the game won't read anything in it) with a new folder. Put the files back in the new folder to see if they now work.

If the files from the broken folder don't work even if they're directly in Mods, you'll need to redownload them, as they may have been corrupted. If you're only having issues with that folder, you shouldn't need to do anything with other mods.

luthienrising I am back after many, many days of redownloading all of my mods and deleting the old ones. Still no luck. The only difference this time is that now a pop-up appears saying that there is missing data. When I remove all my mods, the game loads fine. Just won't open with my mods.

I did all my mods away from the mod folder and deleted the cache file each time.
Tried to find a corrupted slot in my game because some lots are crashing my whole game and I need to restart EVERY TIME!!
But thats also not the problem.
Tried to find the crash in the notes but couldn't find it.
Are you guys still struggling to laucn the game? Let me know!
