Game will not launch

LBNixon14 Please do this exact order of things (with no other steps at all) and tell me what happens:

1. Rename your user folder: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/ 
2. Run a Game Repair 
3. Download one furniture item from peacemaker (I know these are fine)
4. Start Sims 4. 
5. Confirm that you have no option to Load a previous save. Only to start a new one.
6. In Game Options, enable CC, but don't make any other changes.
7. Exit the game
8. Unzip the file and put the package files in the Mods folder. Delete the Zip file.
9. Start Sims 4. 

If you still have problems, please tell me if you're on PC or Mac.

luthienrisingit did work then stopped again :/ - I'm on Mac and its brand new only had it a year. 

LBNixon14 So, in a fresh user folder, with no mods or CC and a new save, Sims 4 at first started okay then stopped working? And it's with no mods/CC and that new save that it stopped opening?

luthienrisingyeah it worked with no mods/CC in it using the fresh folder, I added the one bit of CC that you said to download and again it worked, I started adding bit by bit my other CC it was working then when I added another bit of CC it stopped, I took that CC out that I just added thinking one of them could be causing the probelm, loaded the game back up and it just would not open again even tho the CC that I added in previously it worked with before. 

I may have fixed it, don't ask me how as I don't really know how I managed it as I have just been messing around with it but so far it seems to be working😬
