Game won't open with mods/CC

bbbbaileyyyy​ Please try this exact sequence of steps, precisely as said here:

1. Rename the user folder -- the folder the Mods folder is inside of. I usually do something like "USER FOLDER OLD" and then drag it to my desktop. This will be your backup for saves etc.
2. Run a Game Repair in the EA App. 
3. Restart the game and exit. This will make a new user folder for you.
4. Download one new CC item. I use a new download of furniture by Peacemaker or clothes by SurelySims because I know it all works.
5. Put that in the newly created Mods folder.
6. Now try again.

Does that work? If YES, try this:

1. Take one previous CC file from your old folder and put it in your new folder
2. Now try again.

If that doesn't work, there may be an issue with your files in general, and you'll have to redownload. If it does work, try adding content back in batches. You might need to manually create new subfolders in Mods and copy over files not folders.
