game wont run after update.

After the recent update, on September 18th 2024.‌After the update (18 september 2024) I am no longer able to run the game with ANYTHING inside the mods folder. I am 100% certain that before the update I have not installed any additional mods and everything worked with no issues, until the update. Everytime i try to run the game, it tells me that my files from the game are missing or damaged and that I should repair it through the ORIGIN app and remove the mods before doing so. So I moved out every single mod and it worked just fine, the game started again and worked, but when I put my mods back it shows the same thing, "files may be damaged or missing from your game, repair your game and remove the mods." I even removed some mods that MAY have actually damaged my game, but no success. I am convinced that there must be something wrong with the game but I may be wrong.

same had to delete my mods🥲 kinda upsetting since i had just updated my mods and they all worked fine.&nbsp;

Guys…when you have mods you MUST check to see if your mods are compatible after an update or patch. I fault EA for a lot but not for broken mods. Most of the creators will check compatibility and update fairly quickly but many don’t and some will leave the mod broken. There is a website with a list of mods where you can check if your mod is broken or not, I’m not sure if I can mention it here but should be easy enough to find if you google. Leaving broken mods in your game can cause a host of issues, so it’s incumbent upon you to check them.&nbsp;

@NanaLawrence103  Please move your mods folder to the desktop, delete Documents &gt; Electronic Arts &gt; The Sims 4 &gt; localthumbcache and then try again on a backup of your save to see of you can duplicate the issue on a game with no mods.

@crinrict&nbsp;I backed up my saves but they no longer work, at least the game finally runs now but my game no longer reads any of my mods. I just noticed, my mods folder is missing.
