Gardening (Potato Plant)

I only know of the one at Willow Creek.  Carl and Pam's Guide says it is at the BFF household. If that is the one you have killed then you may have to buy the seeds and hope you get a potato eventually.  Incidentally plants will flower eventually if your sim waits around long enough or the next time you visit.

You have learned the hard way that plants die if you take cuttings twice in a row, however they can be revived by a sim who is high in gardening.

I actually have two Sims who are at level 10 gardening skill. One has the Super Green Thumb reward and the other doesn't. The only option I get when I click on the dead potato plant is "Dispose of Dead Plant" There is no revive plant option....

Excellent.  I didn't think of the secret areas but well done.

Perhaps sims can only revive plants in their own gardens.

@jlg23  it's a mine in the area of the landgrabb house the sim needs handy skill level 10 to break open the barriers at the side of the house just follow the pathway down

On the phone where you order gifts you can buy potatos and other plants, order them, they'll go to your inventory and you can plant them
