Everytime I try to use a script mod, for example, I'm trying to install the pose player and teleportation mod. I haven't installed any other pose mods so it's just those two. I will install them correctly, make sure they're not in sub-folders etc, then when I load up my game again, it gets me to choose a season again instead.. even though I was just playing. I click on a season and it comes up with a black screen except for a little tab down the bottom saying funds: $0. It's getting super frustrating!! This is happening with other mods too. It's driving me nuts haha. Can anyone help? I've also tried repairing my game. Also just made sure I was downloading the right version of the mods.

HelloDo the issues occur if you try moving your whole mods folder to the desktop. Delete the cache fileshttps://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/delete-cache-files/Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issuesDoing this , tests to see if mods/cc are the cause of the issues.

It sounds like a mod is causing the issue, Try putting your mods back into the newly generated mods folder in the sims 4 folder one by one and testing the game after each one to see which is the cause of the problem. Put one mod in , test the game , take it out. Then test another one, to find the cause of the issue.

Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game.Try resetting your sims 4 folder, starting a new save game file, and testing to see if it occurs there . To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated.Start a new game and test to see if the issue is in that new save game.Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or "options" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.

You could try disabling the seasons pack. Then start a new game and play for a little while. Then re-enable seasons pack again and see if that helps. This link explains about disabling packs.https://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2017/03/disable-single-packs/

Hello @ahoychristie I am sorry that you are continuing to have issues. I will repost here what @yoikami posted in another thread. It may help you,I'm coming back on this thread to update you on the previous issue with scripts! I think you would have never figured it out alone because what was causing the issue apparently is my game being in french version (I'm bilingual). I contacted the creators and developpers of MCCC and they said they reported a few people having scripted mods issue with the french version (maybe some still have with another language?). So if anyone encounter a similar issue I'd suggest either setting your game in english or reinstalling it in english! :)

@rosemow I'm not having a issue like this but more so wondering, do you think that a game uninstall would help these people with their game? Maybe even resetting there Sims 4 folder at the same time, then playing the game and seeing if it helped? Just curious, this seems like it sucks and if I was having this issue I'd try this... :#

I don’t like suggesting simmers to uninstall and reinstall the game as i know that it is a very large download and can take a long time to do with some computers. Also,these simmers are finding that the game is working correctly when mods are not being used.
I am sorry though that the simmers are having these issues :( and I do hope that they can find the cause of the issues or that it fixes itself

Thought I'd post an update in case anybody else stumbles across this thread.
The issue has been totally fixed since either installing "Get Famous" or the patch that was released for it.
I'm able to play with mods again! Couldn't be more thrilled haha.

The patch didn't fix script mods it broke them. If your script mods are not working return to the site you downloaded them from and check for an updated version.

@Bananas_45 no, I'm using the updated versions of the mods.. hence them working.
But a few months ago, before the patch even came out, my game screwed up out of nowhere and mods stopped working for me since I installed Seasons. They were all updated then too and working for everybody else, but for some reason my game kept showing an error. Some people experienced the same thing.
I just updated this post to let people know they might want to try again (obviously with the updated mods) after installing Get Famous, as my game is no longer glitching out when installing mods.
