Help with Trait?
I've been trying to get Erwin Pries's Conspiracy Theorist title back but nothing I've done has worked-
This is the cheat everyone keeps telling me to use↓
traits.equip_trait trait_Hidden_Strangetown_Conspiracist
I've tried it didn't work, I tried putting his name at the end that didn't work. I just don't know what to do, I want his title as Conspiracy Theorist back without having to reset Erwin or make a new save :/
Anyone know what I can do? What I did wrong? Does this cheat not work? I'd also rather not have to download any mods for this.
Out of the box, Erwin is a hidden sim that has a special role. That role is defined by the trait you show. If you made Erwin playable by moving him into a household, that is why he lost the title and role as it is a special game role. Simply giving him the trait back will probably not make him resume the role either as long as he is marked as playable. I am not sure if giving him the trait back will do anything as that the role is only assigned to an NPC so you will need to make him an NPC again after assigning the trait. I have no idea if he will resume his role as the Strangerville stall vendor either if that is what you are trying to do.
I do know that you can get sims back to their original roles using mods if you are willing to use mods. I did that with Father Winter (who died in my game) using MCCC.
