Rachel13016954 With a Mods folder that large, you could hit lag even if no single mod/CC item is causing it. I recommend starting with Previously Broken mods and CC and the current pinned Broken and Updated Mods and CC lists to make sure known issues are accounted for. Check all education mods you have to ensure that they're declared compatible with the current game version... and try just removing them.
I also recommend looking for duplicates in your folders. One way to do that is to install Better Exceptions, or to delete it and the folder it creates and reinstall it. Delete the localthumbcache file too, every time you remove or update a mod.
Finally, it can be a really good thing to delete mods and CC you aren't using. It's highly unlikely you're making use of even half that folder. Write down somewhere the ones you think you might want to find again someday, when you're ready to actually use them.
