Home missing from lot

I saved my game and returned a few days later to my home missing and when I click on the go home button, my Sim turns around like she's home but there's nothing there. I have worked very hard to get my Sim to where she is and the level she is at and don't want to have to start over from scratch. I have done the update and there is still no home there. Please fix without me losing all of my progress.
