Why am i unable to have any type of party on a generic lot? While planning an event it allows me to choose generic lot but the game crashes when i choose the generic lot and plan the party. Anyone else having this problem?
@Lolo11236 Hello! I tested this in my game. I only have one generic lot available and it does not appear as an option for social events. After a bit of research, I found conflicting posts and articles about whether or not generic lots can be used. I know for sure they're not an option for club hangouts. There is also as least one mod that adds generic lots as venue options. Are you using a mod for this? If so, perhaps it is broken and needs to be updated.
I remember at some point early in the sims 4 I was able to use a generic lot as a lot for a social event.. i don’t remember that changing. Unfortunately i don’t have mods, I’m a console player but thank you for the feedback!
@Lolo11236 Okay. Thanks for the update. I don't play on console but I don't think there should be any difference for this between PC and console. I did find a very old yet still open bug report about not being able to select generic lots. So perhaps they are supposed to be available. Since you can see the generic lot available for your event, but the game crashes when you choose it, I think it's a different issue. Perhaps you could try rebooting your system or reinstalling the game? There are a few tips for troubleshooting on console here.
If those don't help, perhaps you might consider posting your issue as a bug in the bug reports forum.
