I can't click on my sims or make them interact with other sims
Hello, I have had a lot of problems with gameplay especially mods and CC in the past somethings I posted on here and some I was able to figure out on my own but yesterday I downloaded some new CC and the day before I got the GTW expansion pack and all of sudden I am unable to click on my sims I don't know if its because of the cc I downloaded but I can't click on them I can click on the beds, chairs, fridges, basically everything except for my sims and other sims I want to pick some interactions for them to do but the menu for it won't popup after I click on them, I wanted to uninstall and reinstall the sims but I'm not sure if I will still have my expansion pack after I have already made a copy of the sims 4 folder on my laptop and moved it to my desktop just incase, my game was also glitched yesterday (when I clicked on a houses to go to it would load send me back to worlds and there was this blue glitchy thing at the bottom right corner of my screen.) today my game isn't glitched like that but I don't know I felt like I needed to include that. I have tried removing recent CC and nothing works I don't know if its one of the CC files I have downloaded that are causing this problem but I'm not realizing it because I think I have played normally with it before, but its really hard to have fun playing the sims when I can't choose interactions or use the mods that I need to press on to access more interactions. Help please.
@072913Grace The bottom right of your screen sounds like an outdated version of the UI Cheats Extension mod, which was updated for that issue. You might want to start with the current Broken/Updated Mods list and the previous Broken/Updated Mods list. Be sure to delete old versions before you replace them, and to delete localthumbcache every time you delete or replace a file in the Mods folder.
Many, many outdated mods can cause the other glitches. However, another common cause is mods that aren't installed right. For any script mods you have (.ts4script files are part of the mod), you might want to head to the creator's installation instructions to make sure you've chosen between files you shouldn't have both of and especially that you've installed dependencies -- mods that the mod relies on to make them work right (injector and core mods, mostly), and that those mods are the most recent version.
If both those approaches still aren't working, a 50-50 can narrow the problem down.
