I can't see my gallery, messages,and can't use CAS. what do I do?

Dear Reader,

Im so confused on what's going on. It's been about two years since I've played the sims on my computer. Not because I haven't wanted to but because I didn't have the time and I had just transferred my cc to my Mac from a different computer. Though since it's the summer I decided to try and play the sims since I hadn't in a while. When I opened the app it all seemed fine at first until I came to the opening page where it gives you the option to load a new game, resume a game etc. The first thing I noticed was that the different expansion package ads that are usually there weren't. I didn't think much of it though since it had been a while since I played. The next thing I noticed was that when I opened options each tab was empty with red dots next to it. Not only that but after I closed the options tab I couldn't reopen it. The next issue was the gallery, I opened it and each tab on top that usually mentions sims, houses etc just had "wwwwwwww" in its place.I closed it out and once again I couldn't reopen it. I checked to see if I could create a new game to see if my cc was still intact but when I clicked it the screen was white. In the end I had to force quit the sims and reopen it. After I reopened it I tried to just resume the last game I played but when it opened I couldn't interact with the sim, I couldn't see their emotions, and all the notifications regarding the sim was in numbers instead of words. So instead of it saying like a call it would be "138563928" etc. 

Does anyone know what I should do?
