Yeah it just happened to me, Ive been searching in like 3 hours for help just to find this comment. I really hope EA can help us!!

when you start the game a new mods folder is created.

I am having the same problem as the person who originally created the post. But whenever I open the Electronic arts < Sims 4 my files don’t look like you’re in the image you posted. My has the installer, game, data and a bunch of folder with 2 letters and 2 numbers? 

I would appreciate some help because I have tried what seems like everything to get my mods back and I haven’t been playing with mods since the new infant update

You are looking at the game files where you need to look at the user files in documents, EA, Sims 4.
