I think I've broken my gane

Hi all,

So I noticed the other day that my Sims folder was running through my university one drive account. I was havingn 0 issues, and even had mods installed and working fine. However when I noticed this I deleted the file from my one drive account and lost everything. Thats totally my fault and I accept the loss of it all. I deleted every trace of the sims 4 in the laptop that I could find so I could totally start over reinstalling it in the correct place.

The issue I'm now having is that when I reinstalled the game, now in my laptop c drive, and tried to add mods (the exact same way as before) nothing works. The mods just aren't showing up no matter what I do. I have a feeling that the folder just isn't linked to the game, but even when I try the repair option nothing changes. Again I was having no issues before when the file was in the onedrive account (which seems to be the opposite from what I've heard should happen when the save is in a onedrive account), and regarding making sure the mods work I got it working before with no issues so I really dont know what is happening this time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm at my wits end now!

Thank you.
