@Denindria I had bats attack a sim in myshuno meadows Park which was random . I've never had them outside of jungle adventure until then but she was fine and my Myshuno load is full of inexplicable things so I try to roll with it at this point and make it "plot worthy"
She had just gone to the jungle several days prior maybe they joined her on the way back? Not sure.
