So sometimes it allows me to put the path in and the screen comes up that shows the packages being loaded up ( the one with the little pen) and then the screen goes blank, or it could say that the path configuration is incorrect. Do you know when you were migrated what folders went where?

I haven’t used S4S for ages but will check it again tomorrow. If the error you’re having is in S4S and not EA App then it is up to the S4S team to fix it. - 11 months ago
Ah thank you so much, I feel like such a nuisance lol. They are looking at it for me too but I was checking here if someone else has the same issue since the migration. I really appreciate all of the help 😃

Hi, just letting you know I got it working, I went into the Ea app and changed the default install location for the sims 4 to "Users" and that worked. I would recommend anyone being switched to choose "Users/yourusername/applications" and download the game to there. It let me into Sims4Studio then! It might not work for others but if someone has issues (like mine) maybe this might help them out! Thanks so much for all of the help, I really appreciate it 😉

Thanks! That is the default installation location for Origin/EA App on Mac. Did you have yours in a different location before? - 11 months ago
I went into the settings on the EA app and under the download tab the install location has a default location for downloads which was “applications/ea games”, I decided to try changing it to “users/username/aaplications” and that worked.

What is the size of your Mods folder? Click once to select it then hold down the CMD key and press i to bring up the info window. - 11 months ago
199.46GB for 44,333 items ( mods folder )
10.28 GB for 3,053 items ( tray folder )

Yeah..... that will be what's slowing down loading. Make sure you don't have the CC pop up showing when you launch the game but even with that disabled you're going to experience slow loading.
Having your game installed on the internal drive may help but not by much. And the speed of your CPU will make a difference, your Mac is a little old now but again, with ~200GB CC loading, even a powerful machine is going to struggle. The only thing you can do to speed it up is to cull some CC. - 11 months ago
By any chance is purchasing a external graphics processor for my MacBook help?
- Bluebellflora11 months agoHero+@nadineabdoun
Only in live mode and BB if you have alpha CC as it will help with rendering. The CPU is the power needed for loading. - 11 months ago
Sorry i don’t understand do you mind explaining more ?

Your problem is your Mac struggling to load so much data into the game. The only way to speed this up is by having a very fast and powerful CPU. Even a really powerful processor would struggle to load 200GB data into the game in a reasonable amount of time. Your problem is not graphics related so therefore an external eGPU wouldn’t make a difference. - 11 months ago
Oh ok thank you !
