Just want to add that I don't know of a mod that would cause this. I'd suggest having a quick check through Previously Broken mods and CC and the current Broken and Updated Mods and CC list, just in case it helps, then make sure your other mods are at least not outdated. You might have to do a 50-50 test, though. Instructions are in How to Use Mods and CC
So this is probably going to be long, but bare with me!
I've had the bug happening off and on throughout several different patches and both on my Laptop and Desktop. I always make sure my mods are up to date when I play, and don't play with mods until they've been updated, because I'm paranoid about save corruption!
This time I did only test it on my laptop which had been updated to the current patch and no mods or cc installed. However, I realized this had happened most recently on my Desktop (before the newest patch) where I had not updated the game to the most recent patch and still had up-to-date mods (for the previous patch) installed. I tested my Desktop with both mods installed and not installed and I still was unable to replicate the bug...
I can only assume it's a bug that comes and goes and may be worked around by restarting the game, but I'll know more once I'm able to replicate it again and test more things out. Thank you for your responses! I'll add more to this if I figure anything else out, I suppose!
