I have been playing this expansion for some time and I am having the same issue. I cannot finish the gig because of this. Seems to be since the most recent update. I do not have any custom content installed.

The reveal freezing ?This is a known bug: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/DHD-Gig-completion-pop-up-not-appearing/td-p/11677317 but that's happening after getting paid and everything is done.

I've owned the pack for a very long time but literally forgot there was a career attached. So here I am, August '23, with a Sim I'm putting through this and she has had 2 gigs...The first one went fine, start to finish. The second one was awful. (It was a vampire and he kept disappearing when she tried to talk to him.) After wasting most of the day getting the info I needed to even be able to continue with the renovation, I finished the room, talked to the client, then nothing. I wasn't able to complete the tasks of showing different objects, etc. After many attempts, that menu went away completely and the only option my Sim had was to take "before" or "after" photos, both of which she'd done. The gig task list showed completed, but she wasn't paid and she couldn't leave. I had to close the game to get her out of there.
As I said, I'm in Aug '23, so this problem(s) should have been fixed long ago. Of course I'm fully updated and nothing has changed since the first gig, that was successful. I'm on my way to see if the Sims community has made a fix for this but, have to say, EA and their lack of response to these issues, AND banning people for speaking up, is pretty much the worst this game has ever been...and I've been playing since the start of Sims 1.Still, even if it costs me for doing this, EA should be fixing the existing game and stop putting out kits (I've only bought 1) and packs. Between this, the Wedding pack (that's apparently messed up my teens going to prom), and so forth, this game is, in many ways, unplayable.
