Is there a better way to mass-edit string files?

I tried exporting my mod to notepad so I could use the "replace" function to edit certain words all at once, but when I try importing it back in I get an error message saying my stable string version is not supported and my game is patched beyond the current version. This happens for both Sims4Studio and s4pe. But I have the most recent versions of both and I dont get it.

Is there a way I can batch edit all the things I want to change or is there no choice for me but to embark on the tedious task that is reentering every line with my new stuff individually?

  • I'm honestly not sure. I know Foggity has his own program to batch them, so it is possible, but I don't think there is a public tool to do that with. That being said, there are like....5+ string editing tools out there, so maybe one of them will help or has that feature. I never looked at them closely so its possible one of them does.
