Is There A Way to Fix A Sim That's Corrupted? (And, No, I'm Not Talking About Morally Bankrupt)

I always delete the localthumbcache file. I've even made copies of the cache file so I can delete that. I don't touch the cachestr file, but I think it's generally empty. I ran the repair option, before I pulled the folder a week or so ago. After several attempts to find the problem with the mod, it turned out to be the game save itself. It was also suggested it may well be my Sim. I pulled my folder to start anew. All appears well. Thank you so much for your response. :D
