Is this true about CC's? Merging/Renaming=Faster loading? [SOLVED]

Hi there! I've been wondering about my accumulated CC's and wanted to try this solution for a while now because my main/old save is pretty laggy lately after re-playing it recently.

Now if I'm not mistaken I've read somewhere (darn my procrastination for not Bookmarking that thread :confounded: ) that if you have a .package with long names and symbols? (Forgive me I do not know the proper term) E.g
_bracelet_CC_accessory (something like that) it would cause longer load times? And I have hundreds of em' in my CC Mods folder :warning: :warning: :warning:

I have about 3GB++ of CCs and after an intense file clearing session, I eagerly want to merge my CC packages into organized batches using S4S (Sims 4 Studio). Should I rename the packages by removing the long names and symbols before merging or do I simply rename them after merging them into batches? E.g CCclothesBatch1.package

Oh and on a side note, I do realize if you have filled your N.hoods/Worlds to the brim it will cause longer screen times and mine are fully renovated with lots and Community lots (my old save is from April, 2015 at 57MB). I just wanted to know if this method can help a smidge with my 1 min. load screen . Also, I always do the cache clearing/factory reset method just for maintenance sake if that can contribute.

Thank you for your time reading
  • Not sure about merging, but for sure, rename things to get rid of anything but numbers and letters. So rename CC^clothes Batch&2.package to CCclothesBatch2.package.
  • Thank you for the response @luthienrising

Finally found the thread I've mentioned in my first post  (always bookmark!) regarding CC Merges Hope it helps anyone, I know it helped me a lot.

Again thanks for the reply <3
