I've done it now!

I need some help please. I have completely messed my game up. It started after the last update, there was some sort of bug with my sim cooking and traveling. I found some instructions to correct it but it hasn't worked well since. I tried removing the mod folder, repairing and reinstalling the game, but clearly I don't know what I am doing. Is there anyone with the patience to help someone who obviously knows just enough to get herself (and her game) in trouble? Pretty please? I don't even know how to explain where the game is at this point. I had a ton of CC through TSR CC but it's not loaded anymore. This will be the second time I have lost it all if it can't be retrieved.

    @teresav72 

    Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
    If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
