Kitchen counters and islands disappearing after placing / won't place.

Platform: MacOS
Game version: 1.113.291.1220  

Basically, I was trying to place the counters on the wall, and the cursor wouldn't let go of it. If it finally did after a couple of tries, the counter would disappear seconds after placing it. I tried it with every counter option, both CC and the game (base game & packs). I have a video that I took of it happening, but I can't upload it. 

I removed the new CC that I installed today, and it seemed to work well after. But when I logged back on, the same issues happened again, and this time, I didn't add that broken cc.

From what I've seen, people who experienced this issue play with basemental and other mods of that kind. I don't, and my only mods are selectable pets, MCCC, and small active career mods (work as barista/ animal rescuer/ dog groomer).

Could anyone please let me know how I can fix this?
