Latest Sims 4 Base Game Update Broke My Game

Question

My EA app automatically updated my game the other day and ever since my game hasn't been working properly. When I try to click on something in live mode (i.e. stove for cooking) it doesn't work. Almost all the icons in my game are broken. The simology panel is messed up. Also, if for example I click the O on my keyboard for the needs for example, I need to click it at least three times to open it. There are times where the cheat panel won't appear and I'd have to close the game and launch it again for it to work. Another issue is that after exiting the initial build mode and start playing a bit, later on if I want to add something from build mode, it gets stuck there and I'm unable to exit.

@its_knightwalker i have this problem too! i cant do barely any action (cooking, reading, interacting with other sims, etc) only using the toilet and watching tv works.
i got all the mods and cc out of the folders and even tried to clean the cache and repair the game files
i couldnt find anything else apart from this post refering to this nor any solution that works ☹️

@lag_0ff If you still have this happening even in a new save with no mods or CC and after deleting localthumbcache, please try use the EA App to have EA check your files (Game Repair) or uninstall and use the EA App to reinstall. Not having all your files on the current EA version can be an issue, as can outdated or wrongly installed mods.
