leaky pipes and mice and noisy neighbours

As for the noisy neighbors, I believe it you give your apartment the peace & quiet lot trait they will no longer disturb your sims. Hope this helps. :)

If you have MC Command Center, it will also allow you to enable the debug cheats

MCCC > MCCC Settings > Notification / Console / Menu Settings > Console Command Settings > Debug Commands in Cheats

If you have MC Command Center I would forgo the other mod, because they will probably conflict. Once you have either mod ready, you should be able to shift + click the objects and select the 'destroy object' option.
