[FIXED IT] 🙌 I'll put all the steps below, but know that BASEMENTAL IS NOT WORKING, so if you place it back on the Mods file, it will break again. WW is working fine and already has a new update just in case.

    Steps I took:

    Verify Game Files:

    1. Open your Steam Library.
    2. Right-click on The Sims 4 and select Properties.
    3. Navigate to the Local Files tab and click on Verify Integrity of Game Files.

This process will check for and replace any missing or corrupted files.

Clear unnecessary files from The Sims 4, Steam, and EA App folders

    The Sims 4 Folder

Location: Typically found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.

    Files you can safely delete:

    • Cache files: Go to the cache and cachestr folders. Delete all the files within these folders. These cache files hold temporary data and are safe to remove.
    • localthumbcache.package: This file stores thumbnail images for objects. It can accumulate unnecessary data over time, so it’s safe to delete.
    • lastException.txt and lastCrash.txt: If you’re not troubleshooting a specific issue, you can delete these error log files.
    • Tray folder: If you don’t need the saved households, lots, or rooms, you can delete contents within this folder to free up space.
    • Screenshots and Video folders: Delete files within these folders if you don’t need any in-game screenshots or recordings.

Note: Don’t delete folders like Mods, Saves, or Tray unless you want to remove mods, saved games, or custom content respectively.

    Steam Folder

Location: Commonly found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam.

    Files you can safely delete:

    • appcache folder: You can delete the entire appcache folder. Steam will recreate it as needed.
    • Logs folder: This contains log files that can be deleted if you’re not using them to troubleshoot.
    • Dumps folder: This may store crash dumps. Deleting its contents won’t affect gameplay.
    • Steamapps > downloading folder: If you have incomplete downloads, this folder may contain temporary files that can be removed.
    • Steamapps > workshop > content: If you no longer want certain workshop items (e.g., mods), you can delete them from this folder.

Note: Avoid deleting the Steamapps > common folder unless you want to remove installed games.

    EA App Folder

Location: Usually found in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop.

    Files you can safely delete:

    • Logs folder: Delete log files if you’re not troubleshooting issues.
    • Cache folder: Inside the EA Desktop folder, you’ll find cache files. Deleting these can help resolve some issues.
    • ProgramData folder: This is hidden by default. Go to C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\Cache and delete cache files here.

Important: Be cautious with other files in the EA App folder to avoid corrupting the app.
