Live Mode UI is Gone After Removing Mods
I just got the strangest UI error and I don't know what's causing it. I removed a bunch of mods because I was having minor UI issues with some of the buttons in The Gallery not displaying correctly. I confirmed that it must be mod-related and then I began the process of 50/50-ing my mods folder. Right after I removed some mods the first time, my Live Mode UI vanished after I loaded into a household. I can't interact with anything. I can't even get the options menu to show up. I cleared my cache after removing my mods, so I don't know what happened.
To clarify, I removed anything that wasn't a cosmetic override/default replacement or CC for CAS and Build/Buy. I tried repairing the game, deleting the all saves from the game, and then copied one of my backed up saves into the game to test it. Nothing changed. The UI is still gone. My intent was to remove different types of mods/CC to pinpoint what was causing the issue, but I ended up completely breaking the UI somehow.
I'm going to attempt a clean re-install of the game, but I don't know if it will work. I'm glad I back up my saves 😬 Below, I have included a screenshot of the error in action and my last exception file.
Any ideas on what could have broken Live Mode?
Also, is it possible that removing mods can mess up the game?
I was not able to upload my last exception file, but I did find out what mod/CC was breaking my UI in Live Mode (after a few hours of 50/50ing my mods folder). It was Simmattically's Quick Save Button (60 minutes version compatible with UI Cheats from Weerbesu). For whatever reason, the save button mod is finicky about where it gets placed. I tested it a few different ways. I finally got it to work again, but I don't think I'll keep using the save button mod. It's too finicky for my sanity.
