I don't see this on the list of things you tried so:
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
- Close the game again.
- Copy your legacy save from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old\saves to the newly created Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves (overwrite the existing file if necessary)
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
Does it work on a new save game ?
Hey Crin. Thanks for that.
As mentioned in my post, all my saves were deleted. All I have left are the families I saved to the gallery, but when I try to load said families in game I just get stuck on the loading screen when trying to move them into a lot.
This happens despite uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app, uninstalling and reinstalling sims and deleting all my saves.
As of right now I’m left with no saves, no mods and my corrupted legacy families. It’s like the family themselves are corrupted. I’ve even tried adding additional or new sims to the family to change it up - no luck. I don’t know what to do.

@MsLuxito Sorry, assumed you have a backup as you said you want to play your legacy game again.
Try the solution above anyways (the renaming) but instead of copying over stuff, just start a new save.Does that work ? Do you only get stuck once you try to load your Sims from the gallery ?
