Lovelorn after Woohoo?

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
What is your current game version number? 1.76.81.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? SO MANY OMG. All expansions, all game packs except Journey to Batuu and Dream Home Decorator, all stuff packs except Laundry Day and... one other, yikes. Courtyard Oasis Kit.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a married romantic Sim woohoo with their spouse.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sometimes the Sim has one or more positive woohoo-related moodlets along with a lovelorn moodlet.
What do you expect to see? I guess I assumed that anything in the romance category would help prevent or get rid of that moodlet?
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I honestly don't know if this is intended behavior or if it's a bug.  Perhaps I need to perform even more romantic actions?  That said, it kind of feels odd to have both happy woohoo moodlets and the lovelorn moodlet.

  • @crinrict  I'm pretty sure I've seen this in a vanilla save but will confirm.

(TBH, I was kind of expecting people to say it was expected behavior, and that if you grind and grind and grind and grind a little woohoo just isn't enough, but again, will test.)

    Edited to add:

Okay, getting two romantic married Sims to cool it long enough to get the lovelorn moodlet is hard work, y'all.  😉  I played for over FIVE HOURS.

So, based on my testing, I think but am unsure that it's related to the combination of Romantic and Self-Assured, as every Sim I've ever seen this happen to is both Romantic and Self-Assured.

In my test save, the wife is a Self-Assured Romantic Cat Lover, and the husband is a Good Romantic Bookworm.

However, in the unmodded game the Lovelorn moodlet disappears upon woohoo and in the modded game apparently it doesn't.

IOW, I think Crin is right and this was a mod issue.  Oops.  Sorry!  I don't have anything crazy or any "gameplay" mods, just utility mods and bugfixes.  In the meantime, I'm turning mods back on because she picked a career branch and was assigned create municipal concept as a WFH task before she picked the green technician branch (so she can now only create Eco-Invention concepts), so I need UI Cheats to clear that for her so she'll get paid.

    Quick update:

I was testing in another save and took out MC Woohoo so I could try a different mod and noticed that removing MC Woohoo seems to prevent this behavior.  I'd need to test further to say for certain.

Update: After every Sim in my save (it feels like) getting a Fear of Cheating immediately after getting out of bed after woohoo, I think I’ve narrowed it down to disabling jealousy from woohoo because of the game’s enraging definition of “cheating” as described here:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Innocent-spouse-accused-of-cheating-because-NPC-is-flirty/m-p/10194585

I unset that option and so far, so good? But it’s hard to tell for sure.
