married sims stuck in limbo

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? The only ones I don't have are the Horse Ranch, Growing Together, For Rent and Crystal Creations pack, plus most of the kits including the Goth one where the hoodie issue languishes.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? If I knew how to fix it, I would. I got two sims married yesterday since he proposed to her outside her house. The whole elopement ceremony went on without a hitch until it was over, when I noticed his CC hair had changed to some random Sim hair. This morning, opened the game; now they're 'married' but he can go into the house and the house owner cannot. She's basically miserable outside and he's playing on the p.c. Plus his last name keeps being changed to hers which is WRONG.
What happens when the bug occurs? Usually it's not this bad but it has before. When the last update/oopsie fix thing went on last week, it has gotten worse. And when the two sims elope (I have the wedding pack used it once, too horrifically the same as my failed marriage don't ask), they can go into the same house at least.
What do you expect to see? Two sims fall in love and elope. I expect them to a) take the name of the person proposing, b) pull their stuff together and c)move in together to live blissfully happily ever after until I break the marriage up.

LIke I pointed out above, yesterday the husband's hair changed as they were both going into the house so I saved and exited. Imagine my surprise when they were still outside the house and only he could go in. He proposed so she should have his last name. Plus, he's a vampire and she's a spellcaster so one would think the other one could get in, right?
