So unless you have a backup of a previous save with the ninth member, nothing is to be done about that.
We also found out that the deletion of that ninth sim was deleted by game mechanics, but we have yet to reproduce it to see if we can find anything in any logs.
You dont happen to have anything in LastException or MC logs do you?
