I figured out that it did get applied but only AFTER a bunch of people were auto aged right at startup based on the normal EA agespan. I just had to go through and age back all the relevant people in the town. Which took a while but at least it worked. It's so weird though, I've updated MCCC several other times and it's never done that before.
Did you edit them in CAS? There’s a bug where going into CAS will age Sims even with aging disabled, so probably also with the custom lifespans.
