Mod is the reason I can play sims but also the reason I hate it

Just had a long break (3 years I think) from sims 4. Got back to it again a month ago. Installed some mods from curse forge and I was having a blast. 

yesterday a new patch dropped breaking some unknown mods. Now I can’t play it and I don’t want to go through the hassle of identifying the specific broken mods. 

I don’t know how mod players actually deal with this ?l
