    This issue is caused by some adult mods. I cannot name them here as we can't talk about mods that raise the rating of the game at AHQ.

    EA does not officially support mods/cc and you're always using them at your own risk. They will not fix this issue. You need to get the updated version of the mods or remove them.

    If you have further issues, please try the suggestion below.

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

With the new update, every door in my game has been deleted, and I can't place ANY doors down. I have a bunch of CC stuff, but even with disabling the mods and playing vanilla, every door I try to place gives me a "script call failed" error. What can I do to fix this?

    @SchrodingersKing Yeah same thing happened to me! I got a message from <Adult Mod> today as I updated the game today but as i was waiting for it to update, I downloaded some cc because of the <Adult Mod> mod message, I deleted all the cc I recently downloaded but still didn't work. I'm really confused and I don't think that it was my cc or mods.

      Removing WW as well as Basementals worked for me!

    Okay, so after a little digging I found out the issue. Some times mods or cc clash with the game so make sure you're always on top of your mods folder. But yea, it turns out it was happening because of an adult mod . I just went into my folder and deleted it. Then I went back and redownloaded it off line. Btw here's a tip that I do. If you have a HUGE cc list and mods folder like I do, just a flash drive and copy it to the flash drive. That way, just in case you lose your game files and something happens to your computer, you can just plug in your flash drive and get it all back! Obviously you'll need to update your flash every once in a while after you get more cc but it's a great backup plan. I did this from my main computer and then plugged the flash into my laptop so now I have all the same mods on my laptop that I have on my PC!

    Same problem but I tried everything. I removed all mods, cleared cache, ran a repair on the Sims 4, I even ran batch fixes on the Sims 4 studio. I'm think of just uninstalling the game which is sad because i put in a lot of work so far.

    Okay, today around 5 A.M., I noticed my game had the same problem that everyone else's did & I can honestly say that for my game the problem was solved by cleaning out my mods section. I have a MacBook Pro (13 inch, 2017 version). I am going to download my mods again & update everyone in this thread on my progress. Some are saying it's not a mod problem, and some are saying that their problem was fixed when the mods were deleted.

    I solved this issue in my own game, thought I would share since I came across this thread while trying to solve the issue. The problem started when I updated my game; I have mods-enabled and script mods enabled. I would get the same message when trying to place any door. I went back into my options while in-game and disabled script mods. After a quick restart, the game worked.
