[MOD RELATED] Color options broken

Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? sims 4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When clicking on anything that has a color change option, the colors do not change. Clothes do not have option colors other than the image show (first swatch). Hair has color options but when clicking the color nothing happens. Everything that has a color option is doing this make-up, clothes, skin tone, hair, eyes ect.
What happens when the bug occurs? Color box turns white but nothing changes on the sim
What do you expect to see? colors change
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

After the new update I can't pick color options for my clothes, options for skin details and all my cc hair won't change color. The tick icon is off and the color icons for CC hair and eyebrows are gray. Not sure if it is a mod issue or not bc the base game stuff is also affected. I play on a Mac.

Since the update on 26 July 2022, the CAS screen has been completely destroyed. Eye colours, hair colours etc are blank squares which don't change the Sims' eyes or hair. Downloaded skintones don't work, clothing colours cannot be selected . It's all very well bringing in smart new features but not if the game is going to be unplayable.

@DreamAnjel @zienzie Any mods that is related to CAS, try removing those and see if the game works, and until then you'll have to wait for the creators to update them. (Mods like: UI cheats, MCCC, More CAS columns, Colorslider perhaps)

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

In CAS I am having trouble with not being able to select a color on clothing items and other general glitches like not being able to see the colors presets properly and some icons missing. I tried restarting my game multiple times as well as restarting my PC but it's not working.

@nlaaii6sphh2 Any mods/CC in your game ? Many are broken and need updating.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)

Tray Folder

Screenshots/Videos/Custom music

Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)

Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....

ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.

Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
