I'm not sure if I'm the only one who has had this issue since the July 2022 update recently. However, ever since that update went into my game (literally immediately after), my graphics and gameplay functions have been completely broken. It is even worse if I have basic mods and cheats in it (these being the same cheats and mods I've had for months before this update happened without any issues; including things like TMex All Cheats and Carl's Werewolf Cheats - the most recent one I have that came out). However, since the update, there are three things that may happen when I try to/open up the game which play hot potato with which happens at that attempt:
1) The game opens to the main menu, but when I click on a family or going to make a new Sims save file and the screen goes white for a moment, it stays white and stays froze. I also cannot exit out of the game at all, unless I force close the game through Task Manager. I cannot do anything in the game or anything to close the game except look at a white screen until I close the game forcefully with task manager.
2) The game opens and I can get into a family file, but the graphics are all kinds of broken and wonky. I have attached a couple photos for an example on how the screen sometimes appears when I open up a game file. There are other forms where it opens up the game file and there are no buttons and broken text that appears blurb pop ups. When the latter event happens, the game has a similar situation to the first scenario mentioned and I cannot close the game without Task Manager.
3) And the final scenario that may occur is that I simply try to launch the game and it won't launch at all. It will think about it for a few seconds before just springing Origin back open with nothing able to be done to open the Sims 4 program. I have attempted to open it through the multiple pathways in the Origin software as well as through the Sims 4 shortcut. And when this scenario happens, it may take 5 times before it opens, only to get one of the two previously mentioned results from the game opening.
As I said, this was not an issue with or without any cheats or mods until this most recent main update. I have even gone so far as deleted all my previous save files and families and tried reopening the game with a totally new family with that alone, wondering if one of the saves got bugged for some reason in the most recent update, but it didn't change anything. And this is an issue still, even if I take all the mods and cheats out of my Sims 4 game files.
Am I the only one with this issue? Is there a way to fix this so I can play my game again?
