I keep having random objects catching fire. Chairs, tables, toilets, garbage bin. There is seemingly no reason for the fires. The lot is off the grid.
Hm, good point! I have quite some mods, including mccc, wonderful whims, shorter teens, preteen, better build/buy, Custom whims mod, career overhaul... Maybe one of those could be causing random fires?
As for the the lot traits, I randomize those and for this lot I got Celebrity home, Geothermal and Breeding ground. Lot challenges are Simple living and Off-the-Grid.
I remembered to go in here and have a look because today my plants caught on fire!
I will try and see if different lot traits do any difference, I am quite fond of having all those mods in, and I did update them the other day.
I have the same problem. I don't have mods or cc in my game.
Majority of the time when my sims are cooking it will end in them starting a fire, I'm using the Auld crow Wood-burning cookstove which isn't a cheap oven and even when changing the oven the problem still occurs. The plot is not cursed, none of the sims have traits that could contribute to the number of fires and when cooking the sims aren't tense. I was wasting so much money on replacing the oven that I gave all my sims level 10 cooking but still, they would frequently start fires. The game packs I have installed are Get famous, High school years and Island living and I don't have any mods installed.
I have this bug (?) too. It's almost impossible to cook anything other than a salad because 99% of the time the stove is bursting into flames. Cooking lvl 10, no cursed plots etc as well. I also have all of the game packs you mentioned, I can't pinpoint on whether it started before or after I got high school years. Hopefully this is patched in the next update, because it's getting increasingly more annoying to deal with. Glad I found someone with the same problem and my game isn't just dumb haha.
