Mods folder missing???
Hi all, I've started playing again after a while, and my sims game is updated to the newest version. I want to start downloading mods again, and saw I didn't have a mods folder in my files, so I created one.
I went into the game, turned on enable mods and ccs, and then refreshed the game. The game then said that my mods were outdated and wouldn't work, so I deleted the mods folder I made, and restarted the game, assuming the issue was because I created a mods folder... however, after restarting the game again, it said I still had mods loading into the game, but I've deleted the new mods folder!
It tells me at the start what mods are loaded into the game, so I know they're genuine mods that are still somewhere in my Sims4 folder, but somehow that folder just... isn't there?
I've checked everywhere on my laptop files, searching for it, but it's not come up, but my game still says there's mods installed. I've never encountered this, and I play with mods usually every time I play... so I thought I knew what I was doing, but apparently not! Please help!
I've attached a screenshot of the files I currently have available in my Sims4 folder. I think I'm missing some because I can't find the cache file either, as that was also recommended to me :/ but the game still runs fine if I turn the mods off
You're looking in the wrong place. Those are the program folders. You want Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. See more on this in How to Use Mods and CC.
