Mods Issues

Question

hello to whoever is gonna read this. I'm having some trouble with my Sims 4. First thing first I don't have a Mods folder, when I went to look at the actual file folder it didn't have one, so I tried creating one in the sims4 folder. I also am having problems with viewing the mods that I have downloaded onto the computer and placed in the Mods folder. I have tried everything, from uninstalling and reinstalling to looking at the recovery tab in EA (which I don't have in my EA app) as well as verifying the files in the STEAM app (which is where the game is originally purchased). I have it downloaded onto my Windows laptop and have been trying to fix this problem for at least a year now and nothing is helping. I'm seeking guidance on what to do from this point forward. If anyone could give me some help or advice that would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@jaid_thom&nbsp;If you can start the game then you do have a mods folder. You can not just create your own mods folder it will not work. Here is an easy way to find out which folder your game is using: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

THank you so much for the response, the document that you shared is for finding which file is used. It doesn't explain how to do the MODS folder.&nbsp;

@jaid_thom The general folder that's shown by that method is where the game creates the Mods folder. Delete any folder you created yourself and use the one in that user folder. You can use How to Use Mods and CC for more info.
