Mods not showing up in-game

Attached is a new screenshot that corresponds to what you asked me to do (hopefully to the end).

  • When are the Sims displayed without CC?

    • If you open the save to play and in Live mode your sims don't have CC, that means you saved when CC was disabled. Load an earlier version of the save or put the CC back on your Sims.
    • If the Main Menu showcase of your household doesn't show your Cc but it's there on your Sims when you actually play the game, do a "save as" and, after exiting, delete the file called localthumbcache.

I recommend organizing CC by creator, not by what it's used for. It's the easiest way to not end up with duplicates.

Yes, thanks. The location is correct, your Mods folder is in the TS4 folder in the EA folder in Documents, not iCloud, but maybe your Mods folder structure is wrong, i.e. you have folders nested too deeply.  Looks like you have duplicates which probably doesn't help and for some reason zipped files which shouldn't be there.

I'm going to split your comment into a new thread in the Mods forum where hopefully someone who is more familiar with a modded game can help you.

is2sgotazqzs You have multiple copies of Andrew Pose Player, because they have different names so they don't copy over each other when you put an updated one in. There's a good chance you have other duplicate mods too.

Your version of MC Command Center is several versions out of date. You'll need to delete the files for it except the .cfg files - keep those and install the new one.

After you've gone through and looked for duplicates and updated MC Command Center, check the list of Previously Broken mods and CC and the "broken" section of the current Broken & Updated Mods & CC list. Then check mods you use for updated versions. The most recent list, for game update 1.115, is in Broken & Updated Mods & CC. But you're likely to have other mods that needed updating for earlier patches. You'll find some lists you can use in the Mod/CC Issues master post

Finally, every game update means managing your mods, because game code changes affect mods and CC depending on what code changed. You'll find advice about how to organize your mods folder and manage your mods at game update time in How to Use Mods and CC

If you end up really stuck in this process, I can help you sort through it. Let me know.

  • Thanks for the reply. so i did what you said, i deleted the zip files of my mods, updated MCC AND deleted the duplicates of the Andrew mod. but still the same, my sims are displayed without their CC. whereas when i open the game, the CC are displayed, because i checked the box to display them to me at the beginning. what i don't understand is that the lights are green in “others”, my CC are displayed at the beginning of the game and are in the right folder. So what's the problem? i'm really at my wits' end. i'd just deleted the game and put it back. should i delete the “sims 4” file and re-download the game and put my CC and mods files in the “mods” file?
my ccs are sorted by category in french, jewelry, beauty, hair, food. should i put them all together?
