Mods not working on Windows

Hi, 

I have been a simmer for a full year now and have never had problems with mods before, but after the infancy update, no mods or CC will load with them being allowed in game.

I have searched the internet for literal hours for solutions and none have worked, including checking for dated mods but everything was all up to date. 

I also lost all my saves in Jan and have noticed i lave the "Show on opening" for mods turned on, but it doesn't appear, and I have to physically check.

Can I please have some help here?

    @Emmalack09 Try the following.
    Rename your Sims 4 folder thats located in your Userfolder to 'Sims 4 Old'.
    Start Sims 4, it creates a new Sims 4 Userfolder.
    In game check the settings to allow Mods and Scriptmods. After that, close the Game.
    Now the game has created a new Userfolder.
    Copy some mods from the old Sims 4 mods folder to the new one.
    Start your game again and look what happens.
    Maybe now the mods and the Popup window about your mods are working.
