Mods Wish List 2024

New mods and updated mods that allow children to live alone. 

I'd like to see some more Realm of Magic mods. I like Zero's made a few custom spells, an overhaul to potion recipes and a few other things. I like using them a lot. But I'm always look for ways to expand what spellcasters do - especially when they touch on Mischief and Untamed magic. 

Here's some I'd love to see

• Permanent Morphiate: Trap a sim in a state of Morphiate, until the caster either undoes it, or dies. Zero has this, but it's attached to a different mod that uses a very different system.
• More Potions: Most of the potions in-game are terrible. They don't really do anything. Aside from simple ones like providing instant emotion changes, maybe we could get potions to age or de-age someone, or a skill-erasing potion. 
• Sleeping Beauty: Some sort of spell that freeze's a sim's motives, but prevents a sim's energy bar from rising, or at least slows it down severely. You could trap sims in a coma. 
• Jinx: A spell to make a sim more likely to break things, get dizzy, etc. Basically the Cursed Lot trait, but on an individual sim.

I'd like an updated simple living campfire fix

I'd like a mod the disables all popups in the game (new likes/dislikes, go to work/school with Sim, etc). Popups kill the ability to put Sims on full autonomy and let them run amok. I want amok. :) 

If I could customize request a mod I would pay a lot more for it. It would be worth saving up for honestly 😭 

I would love a boarding school mod. I’ve seen people try to make them work with creative ideas and tons of mix and match mods. But there is nothing that actually lets you live where you attend school. I think a lot of people would like it, as the attempted ones people try to make and post about get a lot of YouTube views. They are good, but a mod focused on actually making a boarding school alone I think would be hugely popular. 

A prison mod. Something to kind of make that more workable. I’ve seen a few people again try to pretend they are in one, an active career style mod for it I think would be very fun. Play their sentence out or something. Tasks each day. 

An assassin mod, I think would be very fun. You could style it to be used with extreme violence or a few other mods so it’s played as an active career. 

A mod that makes a car come to pick your sim up for work each day, like in previous sims. 

Makeup override. Currently you can apply makeup but it looks like clown makeup. Or you can apply it as a mod, but it doesn’t add it, it’s just a run through of the actions. Which is definitely an improvement. But a mod where you could preset looks for your sim, like you do when changing outfits kind of. But do the makeup actions and the end result is a styled makeup look.  

More over rides, to make actions more detailed like they were in previous sims. Like sitting at tables, getting into bed. There are some good ones out there, taking off shoes, loading screens, book covers. But sims 4 is missing so many details that there are still lots that could be added. 

More medieval, decades cc, aspirations, traits. Like a little pack on different time periods. 

Mods to help incorporate more cultures, and ethnicities for sims. Feels a bit too white still. It would be nice to make sims with different ethnicities easier. Most premade sims just look pretty similar and other than not being representative, it’s also a bit boring. 

More functional handbags to wear. Most women wear handbags. I feel sims wearing them and putting things in them to carry around, should be more normal: rather than just everything being in the sims inventory. A few mods have dipped their toes in with this and their work is amazing. But more options would be great. To suit different styles for different sims. 

More ways to make money with certain skills and hobbies rather than careers.

I get that mods take a lot of time and effort. These aren’t small wants. But I also personally would rather give money to a modder than sims. Modders seem to care more about what people want and invest more effort into doing things for players than whoever is making the sims games. I don’t have a problem with some pay walls, I think if you can give back to modders. You should. It makes it more viable to spend more time creating things we all enjoy. And it’s hard work. They should get more appreciation than they do. 

I would like a trade system between households.  Say one sim raises llamas and has wool.  This sim trades their wool directly to other sims who do knitting in exchange for things that first house needs.  And sims can find neighbors to trade with even if these all have to be played households.  That should have existed in county living in the first place because country folks trade with each other.  That's what we do.  Eggs for blueberries.  Pie for milk.  Extra spinach for a haircut.  Would be great for rags to riches starting small.
