Moving files and erros
Yesterday I was downloading cc for my game and I ran out of space on my drive. So I decided to move my electronic arts folder into my E: drive from my C: drive since my C: drive was full. I didn't really know how though. So I just copied the electronic arts folder into my E: drive and deleted the original folder in my C: drive. I thought my sims 4 game was already in my E: drive since steam says my installed files are there. Sims 4 is located in the common folder. 3TB HDD (E🙂 > Steamlibrary > Steamapps > common > The Sims 4. My electronic arts folder was previously in my C: drive before i copied it into the E: drive and deleted the original one in the C: drive. I noticed that one thing was wrong. I use Curseforge when downloading cc, so i tried to download one piece of clothing, but the cc file didn't show up in my mods folder which had been moved into my E: drive together with my Electronic arts folder. So i checked the game instance for The Sims 4 and apperantley the cc from Curse Forge is being downloaded into my Bin folder. 3TB HDD (E🙂 > Steamlibrary > Steamapps > common > The Sims 4 > Game > Bin. It's not letting me change it. When i pressed open mods folder in Curseforge it created a whole new electronic arts folder in my onedrive which is located in my documents folder which is located in my C: drive. When i opened the sims 4, it was like I just downloaded it again. None of my saves were there and not even my mods showed up. So i just pressed the claim daily reward thing that had restared to day one and I pressed exit and save which I probably shouldnt have done. So i thought that maybe I had to move my onedrive into my E: drive. So instead of moving it I syncronized it into my E: folder. I don't really understand what I did by my onedrive is no longer in my C: drive, but in my E: drive which was what i wanted. But now almost everything in my onedrive has two blue arrows. I don't know if it's relevant, but I felt like I should mention it. I merged my new electronic arts folder that I think curseforge made with my copied electronic arts folder. When I opened the sims 4 my mods popped up like normal and my saves were there. However when I tried to open my save and start playing. A pop up showed up telling me that the game was unable to find the script file for i think, but when I closed the game and checked it was there. I deleted it and redownloaded it and when I opened the game and pressed the play button on my houshold when your in manage worlds. A new pop up showed saying that there was an error and that I should exit and try again, but it still wasnt working. So I thought that maybe the Mccc error file support channel on discord could help me, but my error file was too old. The bot told me to delete it and reload my game, but since I'm not able to enter live mode from manage worlds, it's not creating a new error file. Can someone please help me. My computer is in norwegian so tutorials are even harder to follow when I don't know what the different things are named in my language.
I just realized that i didn't enable script mods, that was the only issue...
