Multiple issues with 1 Sim within a household

Im playing with a SIm that went through college through University. He never gotten the notification/calendar event for the graduation. I have waited 3 sims weeks and he never gotten his degree. If it try to sign up for classes, I get the message saying that I have completed all classes and have graduated. The job that my sims was trying to get he couldn't due to not having the degree. I had to use a cheat to give the sim a degree. For about 20 minutes, I was not able to move him out of his parents house. The calendar is not working for this sim. Nothing is on the calendar so he is not aware that it is Winter fest at this time.
