my mods/cc not showing up in game after new update

after the most recent game update, my mods and cc started glitching so after many attempts of repairing and deleting a lot of cc and it didn't work so I reset my laptop and reinstalled origin and the game but now my cc isn't showing up at all I don't know if I installed it in the wrong place or not.

  • @monetndeveaux  Please compare the file path of the user folder Sims 4 is reading, which you can find this way:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

with the file path to the folder your custom content is in.  If you're not seeing the entire thing, right-click on the Mods folder and select Properties > General, then look for the Location.  The file paths need to match exactly.  If you're not sure what you're looking at, please list both file paths for me.

hi! thank you for the help sorry it took so long to reply but I did what you said then I realized I had the electronic arts folder in my program files instead of documents and now the mods are there but now my game is glitching again now that they are in the game.

@monetndeveaux  You clearly have at least one broken mod.  The first suspects should be mods that change the user interface (e.g. UI Cheats) and any mods by TwistedMexi, so try removing those and deleting localthumbcache.package.

If that doesn't help or you don't have any of those mods, move the entire Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache (again), and test.  If the game is back to normal, use the 50/50 method to sort through your mods.
