@Thai_Simz EA Maxis allows Sims 4 players on PC and Mac to use mods and Custom Content but they do not provide support for those mods and they have no responsibility in ensuring that these mods will not cause problems in your game if you chose to use them. It is up to the Mod and CC creators to provide updates to their creations any time there are changes to the game, like in a new release or after a game patch, and it's the player's responsibility to check for and install the updates.
For mods and CC .package files to work properly they must be placed in your Sims 4 Mods folder. The correct file path should look something like this:
Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods
Mods and CC also need to be enabled in your Game Options:
Good luck I hope this helps :D
I'm just a regular Sims player, I do not work for EA, Sony, or Microsoft
Also, if you have any CC that is in Zip or RAR files in your folder, they won't show up. Things need to be extracted from those files to show up.
Another problem that is common is putting the CC in folders within folders. Most CC cannot be more than one folder deeper than the mod folder itself. For instance, you can have folders within the mod folders, but those folders should not have folders within them. Pull them out of the folders and put them directly into the Mod folder.

Can you please tell me how to see which of my mods need an update?

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
