My sims 4 won't load October 2022

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Made it worse, now it won't even launch. Thanks @crinrict 

@AceIke15 Did you put anything back yet or does it not load on a new save ?

Are you getting any errors ?

hii, i tried to post this in forums but couldn’t upload a picture. i do have some xx and some mods but i’ve ran them all through a mod detector & it shows all clear but this is my screen when i get into the game, i either get this or code 109:dd2b8c5:c0656 or having the same issues as ace. please help!

Yes my sims was fixed after I reinstalled it but less than 24 hours later it's back to loading to the homepage but not loading when I click "continue playing household"

Five hours later and it's working now? I didn't change anything or touch it. I'm guessing this is going to keep happening.

@jramm04 The mod detector won't recognized outdated mods. It only detects conflicts between mods/cc.

The tool should no longer be used anyways though as it's very outdated.

Please always test without mods/cc to make sure it's not a mod issue if you run into issues.

I am literally having the exact same problem. I tried deleting and redownloading and everything but its still not loading on my Mac anymore... Just 3 days ago it was working perfectly and now I can't get it to run anymore ☹️
