My sims become unresponsive when i download a mod

for some reason every single time i download ANY mod my sims simply become unresponsive, they won't move, won't interact with objects or other sims, they won't do absolutely anything! I tried looking on youtube but nothing worked, the worse is that i don't even know why that happens

@mya98 , are the mods you are downloading up to date with the latest game updates?  If they aren't, that could be why you are having problems.  Also,  be sure to delete the localthumbcache.package file. in the game folder.  This is important because bits of corrupted data can remain in these files even if you update your Mods to the most current version.  The localthumbcache.package file can be found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.

    Please
update us on your situation. 😇

This may not be the cause of your problem, but it is worth checking and trying. 😉  If this isn't what is causing your problem, then hopefully we can still help you solve it! 🤞

I tried both options, but sadly none of them worked, any other ideas?

@mya98 , it would be really helpful in trying to troubleshoot this for you if you could tell us what Mods you are trying to use.
Different Mods effect different aspects of the game, so in order to help you we need to know what you are trying to use.
