@mariahangelique Do you use Mods &/or CC? If you do, or did recently and didn't remove the cache file named in the directions, you could test without them to see if this is causing the issue. Directions are in comment #2, above, in the 'spoiler tag'.
Did you also check your settings? In each game save you can change the autonomy settings. Open the game save then go to: Game Options > Gameplay and set "Autonomy" to "Full" as follows:
I am having the same problem even with removing my mod folder.
@cozysaraheliza Did you also delete the file called localthumbcache? And when you load the game it shows you have no mods?
